The fastest route is inside the app: Saved → Send feedback. It reaches the same inbox and arrives tagged with your app version, which usually saves a round trip.
What Aver is
Aver turns podcast episodes into a feed of specific, checkable claims — a statement with a number or a mechanism in it, rather than a summary. Every claim carries the speaker, the show, the episode and the timestamp where it was said, so you can go and check it.
A new batch lands every Tuesday.
Common questions
Is the audio the actual podcast?
No. Tapping play gives you a synthetic narrator reading the claim and its context aloud, and it names the speaker and show first. It is not audio lifted from the episode and it is not an imitation of anyone’s voice. The card labels it narrated for that reason.
To hear the real thing, open the source and tap Open in Podcasts — that jumps to the exact second in Apple Podcasts.
Is this medical advice?
No. Aver reports what somebody said on a podcast. It does not endorse it, fact-check it, or rank it by truth. Health claims made on podcasts are frequently wrong. Seeing one stated clearly is the beginning of checking it, not the end. Talk to a clinician before acting on anything you read here.
A claim looks wrong — misquoted, missing context, wrong speaker
Please tell us. Open the claim, tap the source, then “Something wrong with this claim?”. That sends us the exact claim along with your note. Accurate attribution is the entire product, so these reports are the most useful message you can send.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works signed out, including saving. An account does one thing: it syncs your saved claims to your other devices. Anything you saved before signing in is kept and merged, never replaced.
How do I delete my account?
Saved → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and everything you saved, on every device. It cannot be undone. If you cannot reach the app, email us from your account’s address and we will do it.
How do I turn off usage analytics?
Saved → Share usage data. Switched off, nothing is recorded at all. The analytics are anonymous either way — they carry which claims were played and kept, never who you are or anything you typed. See the privacy policy.
One of my topics is empty or nearly empty
Claims only appear when an episode actually produces one. Most episodes yield one claim or none, and a quiet week in a narrow topic is normal rather than a bug. Following more topics gives you a fuller feed.
The feed says it is showing an older set
That banner means the app could not reach our servers and is showing the last batch it has, rather than pretending it is current. Check your connection and tap Retry. If it persists for more than a few hours, tell us.
Why do some claims say “speculated” or “hedged”?
Because a guess and a citation should not look the same. Each claim is marked by how it was said, and the mark beside it changes accordingly. It describes the speaker’s confidence — not whether the claim is true.
Can I get my show included, or excluded?
Email us. We work from publicly published RSS feeds and quote briefly with attribution and a link back to the episode. If you host a show and want it removed, say so and we will remove it — no argument.
